Privacy

Your location

“Use my location” asks your browser for your position and finds the nearest city in the browser itself. Your coordinates are never sent to us or to anyone else.

What your browser keeps

We set no cookies of our own. Your browser’s storage keeps only what you chose: your city, your candle-lighting and Havdalah customs, the reminder setting and your answers to the install and statistics questions. You can clear it in your browser settings at any time.

Reminders

If you turn on reminders, our server keeps the push address your browser gives us, the city, your candle-lighting custom and how early to remind you, and nothing else. Turning reminders off deletes this.

Statistics

Our own counter keeps only daily totals per page and country, without cookies and without IP addresses. Google Analytics (cookies) loads only if you allow it; you can change your choice at any time below.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver pages.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it, and you can complain to your data-protection authority.
